Commercial & Sports Field Site Work

Civil Earthwork • Precision Grading • Drainage • Aggregate Base • Site Preparation

Site work built around plans, elevations, sequencing, and the requirements of the finished facility—from commercial improvements to athletic fields and recreational sites.

Built to the Plan

Commercial and recreational site work requires more than getting the ground close to grade. Elevations, drainage, subgrade preparation, compaction, material specifications, and the work of other trades all have to come together in the right sequence.

J Wells brings experience working from engineered plans and established grades, coordinating earthwork around utilities and other contractors, and preparing areas for inspections, testing, paving, concrete, turf systems, and the next phase of construction.

That experience also means recognizing when field conditions do not match what was anticipated on paper. Grades, soils, drainage paths, and construction sequencing are evaluated as the work progresses so problems can be identified before they become problems for the next trade.

Built for the Next Phase

Site work is rarely the finished product. The grade, subgrade, drainage, and aggregate systems have to be prepared correctly for whatever comes next—concrete, asphalt, utilities, structures, athletic surfaces, or final site improvements.

J Wells performs excavation, precision grading, aggregate placement, drainage construction, and compaction while coordinating around project sequencing and other trades. Where required, material is placed in controlled lifts and prepared for geotechnical testing or inspection before additional work proceeds.

From confined-access backfill and utility coordination to paving preparation and large aggregate systems beneath athletic fields, the objective is to leave each phase ready for the contractor or system that follows.
